Mindfulness is the straightest path to moderate drinking. Being aware of why we drink, what we drink, and how much we drink opens the door to cementing better habits. If we remain oblivious to these realities, our old habits will stay right where they are and we might never realize the best version of ourselves. That is the value of being mindful.
Getting there requires tapping into our subconscious, which is where the power of alcohol lives. Our first drink, and every drink since, has conditioned our mind to revere the highs of alcohol and overlook the lows.
